2025 Billing/Coding Workshop Details
Chris Kelly’s four-hour session will cover the latest information on Reimbursement, Compliance and Privacy, and has been approved by NAAC for the “mandatory” portion of their annual continuing education requirements. This includes the two-hour Medicare and Reimbursement session which covers; what’s new with Medicare and the MACs, ET3 data released and what it tells us, changes to the Repetitive Scheduled Non-emergent Ambulance Transport Prior Authorization process, issues with Medicaid and other payers, an NSA update, and the Ground Ambulance Data Collection System reports and Committee recommendations.
The Privacy update will cover; final rules for Substance Use Disorder and Reproductive Health, clarification on law enforcement requests for healthcare records, the OCR’s Annual Report, a recent OIG audit of the OCR, proposed Security Rule changes, and recent data breaches and enforcement actions.
The Compliance update will look at recent OIG actions, a recent Advisory Opinion on EMS co-payment waivers, the HHS/DOJ Annual Report, the OIG Annual Report to Congress, the Annual Medicaid Fraud Control Unit report, MFCU enforcement actions from around the country, and a Fair Labor Standards Act update to minimum wages for “salaried” employees.
If you are looking to get up to speed on all that’s new, current, and coming soon in the EMS industry, or if you need that required continuing education for 2025, these sessions are for you.
