Overview of DSHS’s Chapter 157 EMS Re-write

The Department of State Health Services (DSHS) produced an overview of the proposal to re write Chapter 157, which is the state’s EMS rule.  Click here to view it: Chapter 157 Draft Rule Presentation June 2015

It is important to note:

  1. The PowerPoint does not include every proposed change.  It is simply an overview.
  2. While the slides may not have the exact wording of the proposal, the intent is the same.
  3. It is important for EMS agencies to read through the entire rule proposal and provide their feedback to both DSHS and TEMSA.

TEMSA is asking for feedback by Wednesday, September 7.  DSHS will hold a public hearing in Austin on Friday, September 9.  Stakeholder comments are due on Monday, September 12.
